HOW WE WORK

To enable a successful homemove Gorgeous takes great care making sure every element of the project is carefully managed and co-ordinated. This means you don't have to worry and can 'JUST COME HOME' to your new property where it will be clean and with all your posessions in their place and everything in working order.

Step 1 - Preparation

• An initial assessment is made at your present home where we establish how many items there are, their existing location and where they will be placed in the target destination.
• We take note of any special requirements for special or large items (eg pianos, computers, delicate/precious objects) and make sure preparations are made for their removal, travel and subsequent delivery and installation (ie is lifting equipment required/computer setup).
• We calculate how many boxes or cartons will be needed including necessary protection, inside and outside and whether any special crates need to be constructed. This also include any requirements for temporary storage.
• Details are taken on utility companies at both the current and destination location.
• Establish whether a 'clean-team' or any other specialist is required at either/both locations.
• Discuss parking availability for our vehicles at the present home and the target location as well as skip dispensation
• We then provide a detailed breakdown of timeframes involved whether its two day basic move to a complex two week large-scale relocation. We establish whether an intermediate hotel accomodation is required just in case you want to pace your move.
• We establish the day for the move to take place and that's it, we take care of the rest. You get on with your life as normal (whether that's back to work or play) and we do the rest.

We then leave and make the necessary arrangements with contractors, various utility companies and shop stores (to co-ordinate delivery of new items).

Step 2 - The day itself

• YOU DO NOTHING. Go to work, take a break and relax or get some playtime back into your life and let Gorgeous take the full responsibility off your mind. If you feel something needs your personal attention attend the move if you wish.
• Our teams arrive having been briefed on the work beforehand.
• Items are packed into colour coded boxes and crates for each room and clearly marked.
• All items are transferred to the target location and unpacked and placed in their correct room/area — from books on the shelves to food in the fridge.
• House is cleaned top to bottom and all essential services such as telephone, gas, electricity, internet are checked.

Step 3 - Just come home

• It's done and you didn't see any of it happen. You arrive to a clean, beautifully styled new home with dinner in the fridge, flowers on the table and all beds made.
• We arrange a post-move consultation to make sure you are happy and whether there are any other additional outstanding requirements.
